Tha Lane Beach is virtually the last beach to the north, seen from Krabi town, which belongs to Krabi province.
Anything further north belongs to the Phang Nga province. The area around the Tha Lane Beach is touristy not developed. There is no tourist center, such as Ao Nang Beach.
Nevertheless, there are a few small, private bungalow resorts where you can stay but shops or restaurants are in vain. There is also a canoe station near Tha Lane Beach, frequented daily by tourists from Ao Nang and surrounding areas who have booked a canoe tour.

Tha Lane Bay is a holiday destination for people looking for originality, peace and seclusion in Thailand. Backpackers will also find accommodation here. From the beach you have a wonderful view of the islands of Phang Nga Bay.
Excursions & Attractions
From Tha Lane Bay you can make great trips to the offshore islands of Phang Nga Bay, for example to Koh Hong, Paradise Island, Koh Yao or even to James Bond Island by longtail boat.
From the canoe station you can take breathtaking trips through the rocks and mangroves of Tha Lane Bay. It is one of the most beautiful places for canoe tours in Phang Nga Bay.
Other attractions, such as the Sra Kaew Cave or the Klong Song Nam Nature Park are not far away.
Tha Lane Bay is about 30 km from Ao Nang or Krabi Town near Ban Naisa and Sra Kaew Cave. As far as I know there is no regular public transport from Krabi Town or Ao Nang. You'll have to take a taxi to get there.
