Actually, somebody just wanted to build two condo blocks here! But there was still a huge hillside property left and obviously the owner had some money and imagination and so he decided to create a playground for children.
Whether the story really happened that way is beyond our imagination.
Anyway, at the top of the hill a restaurant and 2 windmills in Mallorca style were built. An old fighter plane and later an old fire truck was parked on the big meadow, where the children could play around and when I first came in 2014 and they had just started to build an artificial river with some waterfalls.
Theme Park in Ao Nang
The locals quickly found out that they could spend a nice time there with their children. So they came from near and far to spend some time in the oversized playground. Admission was still free at this time!
It quickly turned out that the numerous cars did not know where to park and the whole thing got a bit out of controll. Therefore, the owners had to try to organize everything somehow and so they began to take entrance fee, in order to master the many visitors.
Gradually, the large meadow filled up and today there is a small Ferris wheel, a carousel, a water slide and many many things, where children can climb on and play. There is also an old tractor, various figures and a fairytale carriage. All together a lot of fun for young and old.
How to get there
The 7 Heaven Theme Park is located in Ao Namao, a small village about 7 km from Ao Nang Beach. Coming from Ao Nang (on the road to Fossil Shell Beach) you have to turn right onto a small road about 400 meters before the roundabout in Ao Namao and follow it for about 1.2 km. Then you automatically get to 7 Heaven.
Entrance Fee
The entrance fee for the 7 Heaven Theme Park is currently 100 Baht for adults and 50 Baht for children (2018).
