Ao Nang & Krabi Guide

Since the early nineties, the once sleepy province Krabi in Thailand, has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in southern Thailand.

The province of Krabi includes famous resorts, beaches and islands such as Ao Nang, Railay Beach, Koh Phi Phi or Koh Lanta, which enjoy increasing numbers of tourists every year. Krabi extends over approximately 4700 km ² and you can find here one of the most impressive landscapes of this planet.

Over the course of millions of years, wind, weather and waves have carved thousands of caves and caverns in the soft limestone rocks and created countless secluded coves and paradisiacal beaches.

Compared to other well-known holiday destinations in Thailand, such as Phuket, Pattaya or Koh Samui, Krabi definitely has the most beautiful and spectacular scenery to offer.

You can explore a large part of this landscape on your own, with a rented scooter or car, or on booked tours. Some beaches, such as Railay or Phra Nang Beach, can only be reached by boat.

Ao Nang

Ao Nang is a small tourist town in Krabi province in Thailand. Surrounded by a breathtaking landscape with high limestone cliffs and small bays in between, it is also the starting point for numerous tours on land or water, in the vicinity.

The Phi Phi Islands

The famous Phi Phi Islands are also accessible from Ao Nang, with a daily tour boat and as a day trip. Or how about a trip to the legendary James Bond Island? Ao Nang is the ideal starting point for all these activities.

Ao Nang itself has grown up from a small Fishing Village with just a few villagers and backpacker tourists in the early nineties, to a major tourist destination with many amenities and 5 Star hotels.
